To ensure responsible production, we strive for a transparent chain. The first steps towards a transparent chain have been taken. With blockchain technology we have made the nutmeg chain transparent.

SpiceUp

With the SpiceUp consortium, of which Verstegen is part, geo-information has been made available to support 100,000 pepper farmers in Indonesia. This information is used to improve the quality and the amount of pepper production. This project contributes to an improvement of livable incomes, food security and optimizes the consumption of water and fertilizers.
